See the world through fresh eyes: your dog’s. One of my favorite memories is of a hike we took with our dog Bella at Yosemite National Park. If it hadn’t been for her, we would never have seen the mule deer grazing just a few yards away. Dogs see, hear and smell things that our puny senses would never pick up, making them perfect companions for exploring the great outdoors.
Your plane just landed at the Los Angeles International Airport and you happily head to Pet Airways to pick up your canine chum and search for pet-friendly places. In the near future, this scenario will be a tail-wagging reality.
Now where? My advice: head north about an hour and you will arrive in Ventura County, a place that truly puts the welcome mat out for mutts and purebreds.
